Succumb

Nights like this

When I feel alone

 no one to help me

 my fate sewn

Wondering if things will ever change

 or do I merely hope in vain

The ache of emptiness continues to spread

crushing this fantasy- now dead

what once a blessed life now cursed

destined to continue forward – no reverse

The end comes bitter sweet

 sinks into me like sharpened teeth

to get relief I must now succumb

Goodbye cruel world

my existence done.
