Ceased

It took some time

To get me here

To get me to this place

But finally I’m released

And no longer seek your face

The endless nights of suffering

The countless tears I shed

All have left me free of this

No longer do I dread

Yesterday I felt it break

The bond that I had forged

Felt as though I was hollowed out

But then suddenly restored

You’ll never be erased from me

only a passing thought

the time I spent with you locked away

but will never be forgot

Free at last I now feel

To roam just how I please

No more battling with myself

The storm inside me ceased.
