Everyday heroes

They fight for what we stand

Protect our freedom valiantly

Bravery at hand

No one knows what they go through

The things that they endure

Only those by their side

Will know for sure

They volunteer for our country

Not knowing what they’ll do

To face such harsh reality

And hopefully live through

All will try for victory

Run out into the unknown

Never knowing if they’ll return

Some will not come home

These men and women are heroes

Too humble to agree

But everyone knows it’s true

They fight for our country

We’ll always remember their faces

Remember all of their voices
